Also erstmal habe ich nicht gewettet das es am 26.11. erscheint sondern noch dieses Jahr (egal wann), ok vor Weihnachten kann ich schon sagen
Zudem bin ich niemand der Pferdepisse trinkt. Aber gegen ne Flasche Southern sag ich nicht nein

Vivendi Deliberates Over Half-Life 2 Release Candidate

In a response to this morning's speculation that Vivendi is now setting release dates for late November with retailers, PC Zone/Computer And Video Games are reporting information after speaking with a Vivendi rep:
"Last week we received a Half-Life 2 release candidate from Valve, and in its current state Half-Life 2 is brilliant and looks astonishing," a Vivendi spokesperson went on to talk about the current status of the game, saying: "Vivendi Universal Games is in the midst of determining whether Half-Life 2 meets the gameplay standard of the company and more importantly the devoted Half-Life fanbase."
The news story goes on to say that Vivendi are hopeful of announcing a release date to the public very soon. They also state that their own retail sources reckon a late November release date as being "highly feasable".
It certainly doesn't seem as though the game is gold yet, but it looks as though it will shortly.
We'll keep you posted.

Und noch ne tolle News von mir. Es scheint als ob HL2 alle Erwartungen erfüllt (bzw übertrifft).
Half-Life 2 Review Overview

Three reviews down, a great deal more to go. Three magazines from three different countries have now started to send their Half-Life 2 reviews into the public domain. With PC Gamer (UK), PC Format (Slovenia)* and PC Gameplay (Benelux) all giving it reviews 90%, it's looking like this will be a common trend. Here are the scores so far:
PC Gamer (UK): 96%
PC Format (Slovenia): 96%
PC Gameplay (Benelux): 90%
Average score: 94%
Many more reviews are expected this coming week, and we'll keep you updated on the scores as they come in.
* PC Format (Slovenia) is believed to contain a translation of the review appearing in PC Format (UK)

OK is gemacht aber dein Rückzieher vom 26.11. kostet dich noch ne Packung Javaanse Jongens Classic zu dem Southern Comfort.
Komisch mich wuergts grad im Halse, geht auch Bailys ? Den trinkt dann wenigstens meine Herzallerliebste

Laut EUROGAMER hat Vivendi im Laufe dieser Woche seine Verkaufspartner darüber informiert, dass der Final Release Candidate sich auf Grund der Streitigkeiten mit Valve verzögern werde (wir berichteten).
Während Valve von einem Release Termin nichts wissen will, gab eine Quelle bei Vivendi kürzlich bekannt, dass der Termin noch vor Weihnachten sei; etwa um den 26. November.
Ob dieser Termin sich nicht ein weiteres Mal ändert ist fraglich.
Na wenn der Spike da seine Wette mal nicht doch noch verliert.

In Europa erscheint HL2 nur auf DVD
Standard DVD Edition Confirmed for Europe

One of our sources at GAME Stores Group has today confirmed that the standard European version of Half-Life 2 has been confirmed as DVD only and will not be released on CD.
For those of you that don't yet have a DVD drive on your computers, it is either time to buy one or purchase the game through Steam.
Similar titles that have followed this same path are Far Cry, which shipped on DVD in Europe, whereas it shipped on both CDs and DVDs for most of the rest of the world.

Man kann HL2 kaufen, aber noch nicht zocken
Tomorrow at 11 am PST, Half-Life 2 will be ready for purchase through Steam. People who will buy their copy of Half-Life 2 through this medium will immediately receive the final version of Counter-Strike: Source. The other games, including Half-Life 2 itself, will be made available on product release.
Good news for ATi coupon holders as well, for they may redeem their product key for the Bronze Half-Life 2 package or apply their key toward the purchase of either the Silver or Gold package, receiving a credit equal to the price of the Bronze package.
With these events, tomorrow will also be the day Counter-Strike: Source beta will close. Valve would like to thank the thousands of gamers who participated in the beta and helped make it a success.

UHOH ich wittere Unlauteren Wettbewerb .... wuesste jetzt nicht wie ich das begruenden soll, aber wie damals bei der WM Fernseher Aktion vom Media Markt - faellt dann schon irgendeinem ne Begründung ein. Das wär ja mal interessant was passiert wenn die das Paket nicht mehr in Deutschland verbreiten dürfen via Internet. Also nich dass ich mir das wünsche, aber interessant wie das geloest wird ...
BTW ich hab mich von meiner Frau belehren lassen, dass ich meinen Arsch nicht zu verwetten haben, insofern muessen wir beim Bier bleiben

alles klar, das war das Wort dass mir noch gefehlt hat:
Mach Steam auf ( muss ich ja wenn ich spielen moechte
) poppt Werbung auf ATOMKOTZ gleich anschliessend die wirklich alles uebertreffende Frechheit von Valve :
"PRE-PURCHASE Half-Life2"
Das is die Krönung einer jetzt schon 2 Jahre dauernden Verarsche ! Ich möchte hier wirklich und in aller Öffentlichkeit schwarzmalen : Die sind nicht fertig und es geht das Geld aus !
Das is ne ganz ueble Abrede mit Vivendi, damit das Spiel ueberhaupt den Markt erreicht.
Bitte nich boese sein, aber ich bin schon seit letztem Jahr sauer, nach ettlichen Malen "schieben" kommt jetzt der letzte verzweifelte Versuch die Sache noch zu retten.
Meine Kreditkartennummer geb ich da nirgends ein !
Spike, ich weiss du freust dich drauf und mein Beitrag wird dir nich gefallen, aber trotz aller Ankündigungen : Ich glaub einfach nicht drann und schon garnicht in diesem Jahr.

Denen kann nicht das Geld ausgehen, was die allein von ATI kassiert haben reicht noch ein paar Jahre
